Nobody wants to ask Hoon-dong anything, poor guy, and so when it’s Ki-tae’s turn again, Yeo-reum asks if he really likes Jang-mi. Everyone waits with bated breath, and he stuns them all with a simple, “Yes.” Omo. Jang-mi recoils when she sees the group drinking, determined not to go home without having some fun. She asks if she’s the strange one for thinking it’s weird that they’re all drinking together.

Ki Tae is a modern man as well and doesn’t mind bodily moving his mother which, you have to admit, is not very deferentially Asian of him. It reminds me of my own brother’s relationship with our mother who, yes, can be meddling but it portrays the family closeness. Yeo Reum thinks most of the games the crowd he finds himself in as funny.
There was such a clever flip of characterization here and you saw how absolutely honest it felt because the writer have been diligently laying the groundwork for this in a believable fashion. There’s just nothing bad about it in my eyes, or maybe I’m blinded by how heartwarming and realistic it can be in the midst of some really exaggerated circumstances. Her reaction to it was really cute too, she didn’t overreact and was a typical “what are you thinking??” she kinda liked that he had those thoughts. It’s not even noble idiocy because she wasn’t even rejecting him for his own good.

Jang-mi is definitely standing between them, but I’m proud of him for to allowing that to change his reluctant bromance with Ki-tae. I liked that she’s truly ready to let Ki-tae go but is willing to still be a well-wisher who’d go through extremes to get him at a better place. What she did may have been wrong in strategy, but her thought was awfully sweet. In other dramas they usually do that when they are a couple and that’s different since it’s more drastic and looks ridiculous.. Well that’s the last thing we ever expected to come out of Jang-mi’s mouth.
As Yeo-reum kisses Jang-mi, he reaches around her waist to draw her closer, but she actually jumps back at his touch. But of course she trips and falls in her giant dress, ha, and all three boys race to her side. All we see is legs and arms buried under a mountain of tulle, and the boys shouting, “Flip her! CEO Hong calls Attorney Ho into her office. Then someone Eun-Beom and Ha-Ra know as a mutual friend comes into the office, and Attorney Goo decides to accommodate her as she waits for Attorney Oh. After finishing her meeting, Attorney Oh calls her friend Sang-Eun whom she was supposed to meet and finds her in Attorney Goo’s office.
I loved seeing him evolve and how caring and considerate his transformation left him. I love that moment when Jang Mi first visits his house and starts touching everything. Jang Mi throws herself wholeheartedly into anything she undertakes. I like that she gets excited over little things and that she’s appreciative of the smallest positives. She finds the good things to smile about. Her facial expressions are so cute and she dances to herself.
Its just hard to swallow for me, especially with no time jump. I would understand yeoreum not being pushy to jangmi, but him being #1 shipper was a little off for me. Correct me if I am missing locals go wild something, I rarely rewatch episodes, but I don’t think HYR’s character lacks progression at all. I think he has been given a personality of his own and the show has been consistent with that.
The Episode Review
Tat is how much i love the OTP, keke.. The last few episodes have been a bit of a stall on the OTP front but they’ve had some nice HD/KT friendship moments. Jang-mi scoffs bitterly and shouts that he’s right—she wanted to sleep with a man so badly that she left her friend all alone. She cries that if something happens to Hyun-hee, she’ll never forgive herself. Ki-tae tries repeatedly to sit next to Jang-mi, but every time he sidles up to her, she scootches away again.
